This commit change the plat/qemu directory structure into: `-- plat `-- qemu |-- common (files shared with all qemu subplatforms) |-- qemu (original qemu platform) |-- qemu_sbsa (new sqemu_sbsa platform) |-- subplat1 `-- subplat2 This opens the possibility of adding new qemu sub-platforms which reuse existing common platform code. The first platform which will leverage new structure will be SBSA platform. The QEMU platform port scans its device tree to advertise PSCI as the CPU enable method. It does this by scanning *every* node in the DT and check whether its compatible string starts with "arm,cortex-a". Then it sets the enable-method to PSCI, if it doesn't already have one. Other platforms might want to use this functionality as well, so let's move it out of the QEMU platform directory and make it more robust by fixing some shortcomings: - A compatible string starting with a certain prefix is not a good way to find the CPU nodes. For instance a "arm,cortex-a72-pmu" node will match as well and is in turn favoured with an enable-method. - If the DT already has an enable-method, we won't change this to PSCI. Those two issues will for instance fail on the Raspberry Pi 4 DT. To fix those problems, we adjust the scanning method: The DT spec says that all CPU nodes are subnodes of the mandatory /cpus node, which is a subnode of the root node. Also each CPU node has to have a device_type = "cpu" property. So we find the /cpus node, then scan for a subnode with the proper device_type, forcing the enable-method to "psci". We have to restart this search after a property has been patched, as the node offsets might have changed meanwhile. This allows this routine to be reused for the Raspberry Pi 4 later. All identifiers, regardless of use, that start with two underscores are reserved. This means they can't be used in header guards. The style that this project is now to use the full name of the file in capital letters followed by 'H'. For example, for a file called "uart_example.h", the header guard is UART_EXAMPLE_H. The exceptions are files that are imported from other projects: - CryptoCell driver - dt-bindings folders - zlib headers Change-Id: I50561bf6c88b491ec440d0c8385c74650f3c106e Signed-off-by: Antonio Nino Diaz <antonio.ninodiaz@arm.com>

Use the console_pl011_core_* functions directly in the crash console callbacks. This bypasses the MULTI_CONSOLE_API for the crash console (UART1), but allows using the crash console before the C runtime has been initialized (eg to call ASM_ASSERT). This retains backwards compatibility with respect to functionality when the old API is used. Use the MULTI_CONSOLE_API to register UART0 as the boot and runtime console. Define Qemu AArch32 implementation for some platform functions (core position, secondary boot cores, crash console). These are derived from the AArch64 implementation. BL31 on Qemu is needed only for ARMv8 and later. On ARMv7, BL32 is the first executable image after BL2. Support SP_MIN and OP-TEE as BL32: create a sp_min make script target in Qemu, define mapping for IMAGE_BL32 Minor fix Qemu return value type for plat_get_ns_image_entrypoint(). Qemu model for the Cortex-A15 does not support the virtualization extension although the core expects it. To overcome the issue, Qemu ARMv7 configuration set ARCH_SUPPORTS_VIRTUALIZATION to 0. This patch changes the UART port assignment for various BL stages so as to make it consistent on the platform ports. The BL1, BL2 and BL3-1 now uses UART0 on the FVP port and SoC UART0 on the Juno port. The BL3-2 uses UART2 on the FVP port and FPGA UART0 on the Juno port. This provides an interim fix to ARM-software/tf-issues#220 until support is added for changing the UART port for a BL image between cold boot and runtime. Some platform porting functions were in BL specific header files. These have been moved to platform.h so that all porting functions are in the same place. The functions are now grouped by BL. Obsolete BL headers files have been removed. Also, the weak declaration of the init_bl2_mem_layout() function has been moved out the header file and into the source file (bl_common.c) using the more succinct #pragma syntax. This mitigates the risk of 2 weak definitions being created and the wrong one being picked up by the compiler. Change-Id: Ib19934939fd755f3e5a5a5bceec88da684308a83

Previously, platform.h contained many declarations and definitions used for different purposes. This file has been split so that: * Platform definitions used by common code that must be defined by the platform are now in platform_def.h. The exact include path is exported through $PLAT_INCLUDES in the platform makefile. * Platform definitions specific to the FVP platform are now in /plat/fvp/fvp_def.h. * Platform API declarations specific to the FVP platform are now in /plat/fvp/fvp_private.h. * The remaining platform API declarations that must be ported by each platform are still in platform.h but this file has been moved to /include/plat/common since this can be shared by all platforms. The issues addressed in this patch are: 1. Remove meminfo_t from the common interfaces in BL3-x, expecting that platform code will find a suitable mechanism to determine the memory extents in these images and provide it to the BL3-x images. 2. Remove meminfo_t and bl31_plat_params_t from all FVP BL3-x code as the images use link-time information to determine memory extents. meminfo_t is still used by common interface in BL1/BL2 for loading images Change-Id: I4e825ebf6f515b59d84dc2bdddf6edbf15e2d60f

Instead of having a single version of the MMU setup functions for all bootloader images that can execute either in EL3 or in EL1, provide separate functions for EL1 and EL3. Each bootloader image can then call the appropriate version of these functions. The aim is to reduce the amount of code compiled in each BL image by embedding only what's needed (e.g. BL1 to embed only EL3 variants). Change-Id: Ib86831d5450cf778ae78c9c1f7553fe91274c2fa

Add tag names to all unnamed structs in header files. This allows forward declaration of structs, which is necessary to reduce header file nesting (to be implemented in a subsequent commit). Also change the typedef names across the codebase to use the _t suffix to be more conformant with the Linux coding style. The coding style actually prefers us not to use typedefs at all but this is considered a step too far for Trusted Firmware. Also change the IO framework structs defintions to use typedef'd structs to be consistent with the rest of the codebase. Change-Id: I722b2c86fc0d92e4da3b15e5cab20373dd26786f

This patch adds a simple TSP as the BL3-2 image. The secure payload executes in S-EL1. It paves the way for the addition of the TSP dispatcher runtime service to BL3-1. The TSP and the dispatcher service will serve as an example of the runtime firmware's ability to toggle execution between the non-secure and secure states in response to SMC request from the non-secure state. The TSP will be replaced by a Trusted OS in a real system. The TSP also exports a set of handlers which should be called in response to a PSCI power management event e.g a cpu being suspended or turned off. For now it runs out of Secure DRAM on the ARM FVP port and will be moved to Secure SRAM later. The default translation table setup code assumes that the caller is executing out of secure SRAM. Hence the TSP exports its own translation table setup function. The TSP only services Fast SMCs, is non-reentrant and non-interruptible. It does arithmetic operations on two sets of four operands, one set supplied by the non-secure client, and the other supplied by the TSP dispatcher in EL3. It returns the result according to the Secure Monitor Calling convention standard. This TSP has two functional entry points: - An initial, one-time entry point through which the TSP is initialized and prepares for receiving further requests from secure monitor/dispatcher - A fast SMC service entry point through which the TSP dispatcher requests secure services on behalf of the non-secure client Change-Id: I24377df53399307e2560a025eb2c82ce98ab3931 Co-authored-by: Jeenu Viswambharan <jeenu.viswambharan@arm.com>

The Firmware Image Package (FIP) driver allows for data to be loaded from a FIP on platform storage. The FVP supports loading bootloader images from a FIP located in NOR FLASH. The implemented FVP policy states that bootloader images will be loaded from a FIP in NOR FLASH if available and fall back to loading individual images from semi-hosting. NOTE: - BL3-3(e.g. UEFI) is loaded into DRAM and needs to be configured to run from the BL33_BASE address. This is currently set to DRAM_BASE+128MB for the FVP. The modified implementation uses the IO abstraction rather than making direct semi-hosting calls. The semi-hosting driver is now registered for the FVP platform during initialisation of each boot stage where it is used. Additionally, the FVP platform includes a straightforward implementation of 'plat_get_image_source' which provides a generic means for the 'load_image' function to determine how to access the image data. Platform setup code has to reserve some memory for storing the memory layout information. It is populated in early platform setup code. blx_get_sec_mem_layout() functions used to return a copy of this structure. This patch modifies blx_get_sec_mem_layout() functions so that they now directly return a pointer to their memory layout structure. It ensures that the memory layout returned by blx_get_sec_mem_layout() is always up-to-date and also avoids a useless copy of the meminfo structure. Also rename blx_get_sec_mem_layout() to blx_plat_sec_mem_layout() to make it clear those functions are platform specific. Change-Id: Ic7a6f9d6b6236b14865ab48a9f5eff545ce56551
